The electronic odometer manufactured for the Scorpio by VDO has a nasty habit 

of stripping some small gears made of a very soft plastic.  If your speedometer

is working, but the odometer no longer turns over, it most likely is caused by

a broken gear.  Speedometer repair shops will not sell the gear alone, but will

charge you upwards of $120 to repair it for you.  We have located a source for 

these gears and can provide them along with detailed instructions to assist those

who want to perform the repair.  The new gears are precision CNC machined
